A POOL OF TEARS

Peggy refused to talk with me today.

I know that she can't help it but it hurt when she didn't want to speak with me.

I hung up the phone and cried because I miss her and I miss our friendship.

Alzheimer's has taken that away from both of us.

It has taken away the Peggy that I knew and left a pool of tears in her place.

I Love You Today, Peggy!

Ouch!  I know that hurt you.  Even though she has no idea that it was you.  I'm sorry.  Maybe if you call her back in a few hours she will talk with ou today.  She may be on an up swing at that time.

Love,
Wendy

Alzheimer's Disease captured  Peggy's will today and revealed it's ugliness to you.  I pray that you never give up your phone calls to Peggy, even when she can't talk to you.. ((((((MaryLouise)))))) Maybe next time instead of hanging up, let them place the phone down and sing Amazing Grace.  God Bless you both.

I have been a silent reader of your journal and am amazed by your courage. It's very hard to lose someone you love, but to lose them slowly in stages must be almost unbearable. I wish you peace.

I can't tell you how sad this makes me feel.  I can only imagine how horrible it must be to have your sister, and yet not have her. Keeping all of you in prayer. Much love. *Barb*

Such a shame. The helplessness has to drive you crazy, at times. You know my thoghts are with you. rich

I imagine the majority of us can't imagine what this would be like to live through. Sending you positive thoughts from Idaho.
