PEGGY TODAY

Alzheimer's disease will eventually take away Peggy's ability to smile along with any other emotions.

So far, she still has a smile in her heart and in her face.

Her beautiful smile in these pictures, taken 2 weeks ago made me smile too!

Smile~~~~~~~

Smile though your heart is aching...

Smile even though it's breaking.

Though there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by....

If you smile through your pain and sorrow...

Smile and maybe, tomorrow...

You'll see the sun come shining through, if you just.......

Light up your face with gladness...

Hide any trace of sadness...

You'll find that life is still worth while....

If you just smile........

I Love You Today, Peggy!

Thank you for putting a smile of my face today.

Mary Louise

Peggy is a BEAUTIFUL woman!  Her smile lights up the room.  It must be so very difficult for you at times, but your love for her is very evident.  God bless you!

Thank you for your recent visit to my journal & the well wishes.  I do appreciate it very much.  I'll keep both you and Peggy in my prayers.  Love, Anna

I just found your journal for the first time today.  What a gift I feel that I have been given.  Wow.....the feelings that flooded over me as I read.  You and Peggy are awesome women -- no doubts in my mind.  It's not much that I can offer, but I'll be here with you on your ride of rollercoaster of emotions while I add you and Peggy to my personal prayer list.

You had me smiling and crying at the same time. You lay it out there and we feel it. rich

Those are wonderful pictures of Peggy.  As an outsider looking in, and seeing those pictures, its hard to see the darkness behind her eyes.  I saw that look once, in the once vacant eyes of an old friend when I offered him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  It was pure, innocent, almost juvenile joy.  It was happiness that did not rely on memories but upon instinct and impulse.  The smile was for the sandwich, not for me, but I enjoyed it just the same.  It was a tiny flicker and it warmed me for days.
