ABSENT..but Remembered

The approach of the holidays is harder than ever when

someone you love cannot be apart of your life.

It really doesn't matter why they will be absent....

it is just that they are not there to celebrate with you.

When we were first married, my husband was surprised when

my mother said how sad she would be because we were not able

to come home for Thanksgiving one year.

He said; I don't understand why she feels that way, she has 4 other children.

He didn't understand until our own daughter could not come home one year.

It doesn't matter how many people are present,

if there is one person you love and that person is absent...

no one can take their place. No one can be that person.

No one can fill their place at the table or around the Christmas tree.

I feel like that about Peggy and the holidays.

I have many people in my life that I love dearly and who will bring joy for the gatherings to come.

BUT

There was just one Peggy and....................

She has disappeared and cannot be a part of the holiday joy this year!

I Love You Today, Peggy!

I will remember you this holiday season and forever!

I hope you'll have a good Thanksgiving, later in November, although Peggy is only there in body. Maybe she's there in soul as well. Nobody can tell.

It's not too late for last pictures of the fab 4, or even fab 5.

I hope Peggy's family will take pictures this Thanksgiving with her.

Each year, it seems someone else is missing from the holiday table.  Whether they are gone... or just out of town.

Just like when a school child is absent from their desk at role call in the morning of a school day.  Everyone knows who they are, even though their desk is empty.

Memory is so important and one of the worst things to lose... but she will get her memory back ML.  It may be gone from our earthly life, but if there is not ever after life... what would it or anything else matter???

She will get her memory back and you will hug her again, and she will remember, and know and love who you are.

=)
Happy Thanksgiving!  May your cup overflow with blessings this holiday!

Love,
Wendy

Peggy and any other family member that can't be with you at the table because of illness,  loved ones who pass or others who have different plans and can't be there can be with you in thought and heart.  Our family has always left one chair empty at the table in remembrance of those loved ones who aren't with us. We include them in our prayer.  We do this for all holidays when our family gathers.  Try it, might help dear.  Arlene (AJ)
